Grit and the Growth Mindset
Carol Dweck (the brain researcher) calls "Grit" something different - a "Growth Mindset." In a growth mindset, people think that when they fail at something they just need to try harder and grow more energized about it. They believe mistakes are like puzzles. A person with a fixed mindset just thinks they don't have the ability to do it. In a growth mindset, we value hard work and effort.
